Some chefs steal local farms’ good names. The San Diego Magazine article headline proclaims, “Farm to Fable,” and it’s a great read on how chefs and restaurants are ripping off local farm names to make it look like they’re buying and serving local fare, when they’re not.

Ice cream flavors are getting weirder. Ice cream flavors like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies ‘n cream, and mint chocolate chip remain the leading flavors among American consumers, but there’s a trend (dare we say hipster trend?) toward more unusual offerings like Salt and Pepper.
