Atty. Paul Wright’s comment while accepting his Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Dec. 1 could’ve been repeated by any of the other four Ohio agriculture leaders honored. In addition to Wright, Distinguished Service Awards were presented to longtime Nationwide agent Fred Pursley and community leader Howard Skiles. Judy Roush received the Agriculture Cooperative Educator Award, and Lindsay Hill was posthumously honored with the Agricultural Communicator Award.
For the past month and a half we’ve been showing our appreciation for the hunt with our Brag About Your Bag photo gallery. One of the photos we’ve received is of 11-year-old Joshua Moorman, who shot his first deer, an 8-point basket buck, with a crossbow on Oct. 17.

Farm and Dairy traveled to Gibbonsville, Idaho, in June when David Theiss, of Canton, Dr. David Royer, of Canfield, and Ted Royer of Nashville, Tenn. (formerly of Canfield) traveled there to clean up winter storm damage where many huge pine trees suffered damage.
