Zelienople Historical Society’s Christmas Home Tour will be held Saturday December 5, 2009. Paid reservations are required in advance; no tickets will be available at the door.

The $$22 ticket price includes the tour and a catered luncheon featuring door prizes and a quilt raffle drawing. Tour tickets may be purchased at Passavant House, 243 S. Main St. in Zelienople between 9:00 AM and noon Monday through Friday, or may be requested by mailing payment with a a SASE to the same address by Monday, November 30.

Zelienople area homes decorated in a variety of styles will be opened for guests in the self—drive event beginning at 9:00 A.M., when maps and a brochure will be distributed. The starting point and luncheon location will be outlined in the greeting letter given to paid ticket holders.

The candlelight open house at Jefferson Depot Village is 3—6 p.m. It is free to attend. The open house includes the following events:

Old—fashioned Williamsburg Christmas party for children

There will be sleighbell wagon rides, an ice sculpture, pinata, punch, cookies, Santa, caroling and making ornaments. The party is 3—5 p.m. and there is no charge to attend. For information, visit www.jeffersondepotvillage.org.

Twinkling candlelight Christmas walk

Take a walk through the decorated 19th century Jefferson Depot Village. There is no cost to attend and the walk is set for 5—6 p.m. There will be 1890 interpreters in the restored buildings, a live nativity, carolers and organ music. For information, visit www.jeffersondepotvillage.org.

Candlelight Christmas musical

This free event is at 4 p.m. in the 1848 Church in the Wildwood.
