JEROMESVILLE, Ohio — This year, the Hillsdale FFA chapter sent its equine judging team to Fort Worth, Texas, where members attended the World Championship Paint Horse Show and participated in the youth judging contest.

NEWCOMERSTOWN, Ohio — The Buckhorn Tribe 4-H club met Aug. 10 with 20 members present.

OBERLIN, Ohio — The Firelands FFA chapter held its annual summer picnic July 11 at the Krumwiedes’ farm in Wakeman. Members enjoyed hillbilly golf, corn hole, volleyball, swimming, and an inflatable bouncing cage, followed by a bonfire.

The next FFA meeting is 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12 in the Agricultural Science room at Firelands.

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — The Country Classics 4-H club met July 16 at the Steubenville Saddle Club with 29 members present.

Mara Carducci was in charge of the meeting. Plans for the Jefferson County Fair were discussed. Six members gave demonstrations.

The next meeting is at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. Aug. 6.
