The Country Folks and Country Barbwires 4-H clubs met in April to discuss upcoming events.

The Mercer County 4-H Benefit Auction will be held May 6 at the Mercer County 4-H Park.

Members of the West Holmes FFA chapter participated in a second Adopt a Highway clean up March 28.

The 4-H Ag Innovators Experience is designed for youth to learn about environmental and sustainability issues important to agriculture.

Bill Brown started Brown Bros. Farms as an FFA project in high school with just over 1,000 broilers and 75 turkeys. He has expanded to selling around 4,500 broilers and 850 turkeys a year, as well as adding layers to the mix.

The Black River FFA chapter finished the spring contest invitational season March 18, at the Ashland FFA Alumni Invitational.

The Breeders and Feeders 4-H club met March 26 at 3 p.m. at the Munson Township Hall.

Senior Black River FFA member, Sierra Sturgill, participated in the State Public Speaking Career Development Event held at Marysville High School March 4.

The Shining Clovers 4-H club met March 12, at the Wakeman Congregational Church, to welcome new members and pass out enrollment information.

The Southeast FFA chapter held its 65th annual parent-member banquet March 30. State degree recipients are Michael Kline, Olivia Shaulis, and Kelsea Ebie.
