Thirty-seven runners participated in a 5K Aug. 17 to raise money for the Huff Run Watershed Restoration Partnership. The race was held during the Mineral City Party in the Park. The overall female winner was Courtney Oliver, 14, at 22:04, while the overall male winner was Sean Jones, 16, at 17:06

It’s been a tremendous growing season for the Podojil Family in Twinsburg, Ohio. The PVC pipe shown in the picture is 10 feet long and you can see that the sunflowers stretch the entire length of the pipe. The Podojils also have some sweet corn that is just as impressive as these flowers.

Analese and Gidget Marrison checked out this corn field July 4. It belongs to their great uncle — Robert Marrison of New Lyme Township in Ashtabula County, Ohio. This corn was waist high in spite of this year’s wet and crazy growing season.
