Don and Betty Glenn of Chester, W.Va., took Farm and Dairy along and spent four days at the National Threshers Annual Reunion at Wauseon, Ohio, June 25-29. Russel engines were the feature, thirty-six steam engines were running and 535 tractors were registered.
Samantha Sarnicke of McMurray, Pa., the 2008 Washington County Agricultural Fair queen, studied abroad this summer at the University of Granada in Spain. Mitch and Kathy Cattrell of Columbiana, Ohio, and Adam Cattrell and his fiancé Ann Troicke traveled to Fort Fairfield, Maine, July 18 for the Potato Blossom Festival and took Farm and Dairy along. Fort Fairfield is the hometown of Troicke’s family.
John Lipps and Mike Meardith, both of Kinsman, Ohio, took their families to the Niagara Pioneers Soccer Tournament in July at Four Mile Creek State Park. Their sons played in the tournament and the dads took Farm and Dairy along to read between games. Goal!

Vic and Paula Trapp of Ravenna, Ohio, traveled to Las Vegas and took Farm and Dairy on a day trip to the Grand Canyon. We are standing at Eagle Point on the West Rim where the rocks form an eagle with wings spread. Wow, what a view!
This group from the Stark County Farm Bureau found plenty to do during a cruise to Cozumel and Progresso Yucatan, Mexico, but the trip wasn’t complete without some quality time with Farm and Dairy. Merle and Athnee Pearson (left) of Waynesburg, Ohio, and Deanna and Larry Stoffer of Kensington, Ohio, showed Farm and Dairy off to relatives in Florida in March. Merle says he’s a big fan of ours, especially the church page.
Farm and Dairy took a trip overseas to Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland, in April with John Murphy, a firefighter from Cleveland. Murphy, and the paper, visited the small villages where his parents were born and the home he built for them on family land that belonged to his grandfather.
