This past weekend finally brought some much-needed rain showers to the area. We are so thankful for that! The crops, lawns, gardens, trees, and pastures really needed a drink.
Your local Farm Service Agency is always striving to provide programs and services fairly and equitably. But in the past, there may have been some cases where some customers were not treated that way. This may be especially true if you are a woman or Hispanic farmer.
Therefore, USDA has established a streamlined process to resolve the claims of women and Hispanic farmers who believe they were discriminated against when seeking USDA farm loans.
If you believe the USDA improperly denied farm loan benefits to you between 1981 and 2000 because you are female, or because you are Hispanic, you may be eligible to apply for compensation.
