Hello Again!

I take it all of you reading my message have survived all the food and festivities of the holiday season. I am sure we are making the lifestyle changes we have thought about the past several years.

You know what I mean — a little less pastries, cut out the Mountain Dew, try to workout, etc. I am right there with you…I need to and am trying my darndest to at least accomplish one of the three New Year’s goals.

Well, for the real goals of the year, we at the local Farm Service Agency have several to obtain:

1. 2009 DCP sign-up began Dec. 22 and will continue until June 1.

2. Milk Income Loss Contract sign-up began Dec. 22 and will continue through Sept. 30, 2012.

Now with those announcements made, we must take a look at the new Average Gross Income & Payment limitation provisions and forms. The northeastern part of Ohio FSA offices are going to get together next week to review the new regulations and devise a plan to handle the sign-ups in a orderly fashion.

Be on the look out for newsletters, postcards and radio announcements instructing you of your county’s plan of sign-up. If you have any pressing questions contact your local FSA.

That’s all for now,

FSA Andy
