Hello Again!

Well, what a week of hunting stories. It has been so much fun listening to them. The best one happened on our farm. It was a Sunday, right after dinner. My daughter’s FFA friends called and wanted a place to hunt. I sent them up into our woods, were my son had hunted earlier in the week.

Within 45 minutes they had shot one and had seen another seven. The young man that bagged the deer had only hunted once before in his life.

Those two young men were my idea of great, young hunters. They were all excited to get it out of the woods, tagged, checked and hung in the barn. They were already planning for the next weekend of hunting at our place.

As you make your plans for the upcoming year, mark your calendars for Annie’s Project Workshops for 2011. Annie’s Project, a risk management program for women in agriculture, will again be offered throughout Ohio in the winter of 2011.

Details

The program is for women who live and work in a complex, dynamic farm business environment, and it focuses on five broad aspects of risk typical in the agricultural setting: human, financial, marketing, production and legal.

Workshops are planned for:

Early registration is encouraged. What a great way to strengthen womens’ role in the farm enterprise. If you need a unique gift this would be a great idea.
