That’s what we heard on Item No. 887, which we’ve featured for the past two weeks. Silence.
Sorry, Charlie. Actually, apologies go to a friend of reader Nello Mungai of Hickory, Pa. Nello had taken the photograph to send to Hazard and help his friend discover what how it was used. I guess we failed him.

On to Item No. 888, then. Ron Anwander, of Vickery, Ohio, e-mailed the photograph and adds this description: “Two thin, metal layers, with holes like a sieve, joined together at the outside edge with space between the two pieces and has a wooden handle.”
“Whatever it is,” adds Anwander, “it was well used.”
It has the marking “ADE-O-MATIC Co.” and a patent number, but Anwander hasn’t been able to find any information about the company or this contraption.
