Hazard A Guess: Week of Aug. 9, 2001

by Farm and Dairy Staff

Hello from Hazard!

We received two guesses on Item No. 625 – and true to our recent record, both readers are guessing different items. Since we don’t know what it is, we’ll need corroboration from a third reader (we know you’re out there).

Mark Landis of Pittsburgh, Pa., thinks Item No. 625 is a stencil-making machine. G.A. Henderson of Williamstown, W.Va., says it’s a banding tool (the same as Item No. 596 awhile back).

If you can help Hazard by confirming either of those to responses, send a note to: Hazard a Guess, P.O. Box 38, Salem, OH 44460; or via e-mail to: editorial@farmanddairy.com.

After this, we’ll try to take only items that we definitely know what they are, so we can avoid this “is it, or isn’t it” confusion. Sorry.

If you have an item for Hazard a Guess – and know what it’s use is – take a clear 35mm photograph (please, please no Polaroid instant pictures; they do not reproduce very well), and send a detailed description of the item’s dimensions and use to the address listed above.
