Hazard A Guess: Week of Aug.31, 2001

by Farm and Dairy Staff

Hello from Hazard!

The mail continues to squeak in on Item No. 626, the multi-hole mousetrap that we identified in last week’s issue.

Continued thanks to the following readers for writing in: John Doraski, Garrettsville, Ohio; Donald Kneuss, New Philadelphia, Ohio; Ladimer Vitu, Bedford, Ohio; Ray Singer, Cadiz, Ohio; Mrs. Leroy Austin, Wooster, Ohio; Donna Oliver, North Lima, Ohio; Evelyn Brumbaugh, Canton, Ohio; Raleigh Konkle Jr., Ravenna, Ohio; Laurence Logan, Perry, Ohio; Donna Aunspaw, Akron; Mark Landis, Pittsburgh; Judy Shank, Columbus; and Ridley Pattin, Northfield, Ohio.

We also received a belated answer to Item No. 625, but considering it came all the way from Duluth, Ga., it’s worth the wait! David Lawton concurs that it is a wire binding tool. He says years ago when he worked at the Sheet and Tube, they used a similar piece of equipment to bind sheets of light gauge steel together.

But in all that mail, nary a guess came on Item No. 627, the most recent Hazard a Guess, so we have to show it yet another week.

Tell us what you think it is: Write, Hazard a Guess, P.O. Box 38, Salem, OH 44460; or send your guess via e-mail to: editorial@farmanddairy.com (don’t forget to include your name and hometown).

If you have something you’d like to submit to Hazard a Guess, take a clear photograph (no Polaroids please, and watch for cluttered backgrounds), and send it with detailed dimensions and use information to the address listed above.
