Hello from Hazard!
The only contact we received with the outside world this week was another correct guess on Item No. 838, the meat tenderizer. Benjamin McVay of Lumberton, N.C., called us to answer the puzzle.
The model shown in our photograph was marked that it was patented Dec. 25, 1877.
And so we feature Item No. 839 for another week, which comes from Les Howell of Beach City, Ohio.
