Item 874 is a keeper for a switch handle on a Railroad track switch. it locks the handle to keep it from moving when a train goes from one track to another There are two on each switck and are unlocked by stepping on the white lever so that the switch handle can be moved to the other position. It locks the handle between the two upright angles by the white knob or bump holding the handle in place.
