Hello from Hazard!

Still no answers on Item No. 861, which was submitted by Jay Gardner of Boardman, Ohio. He wonders if it was used in the detonation of explosives in some way, but since he doesn’t know for sure, and no readers have come forth with an answer, we may never know. Unfortunately, we’ll have to put it to rest.

And the mailbag and in-box were mum on Item No. 862, also.

John Pidcock Sr. of Frazeysburg, Ohio, shared this item, which he found in a pile of junk. It weighs about 20 pounds and is about 11 inches long. How was it used?
