Three readers shared identical “guesses” in our second week of trying to identify Item No. 709, so we’ll say, “majority rules,” and declare the mystery solved.
The three readers – Robert Haas of Navarre, Ohio; Russell May of Lowell, Ohio; and John Bigley – say Item No. 709 is a grounding clamp for welders, (or plumbers, for leading joints on cast iron drain pipes).
Since the reader sharing the item, Thomas Price of Salem, didn’t know what it was, we’ll defer to the experts. Thanks to all.
