80 years ago this week. Soybean acreage in Ohio is increasing at the rate of about 50 percent annually. This increase is expected to continue until soybeans become one of the leading crops in the state.
At a meeting of the Ohio cooperative cream marketing associations, the following recommendations were drawn up and will be sent to cream producers: Be clean; cool cream quickly; deliver at least twice a week; stir the cream frequently while being collected; produce cream to test not less than 25 percent butterfat; and eliminate bad odors.

25 years ago this week. A new high-yielding variety of soft red winter wheat has just been released by the Ohio Agriculture Research and Development Center. The new variety is named Titan and it is a cross between two Ohio experimental lines that were never released.
