Welcome 2012

If you are anything like me I cannot believe how quickly the year 2011 passed by. It seems like the older I get the faster the year’s pass by.

In 2011, my wife Myrna and I celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary. I was sharing that with a friend of mine the other day and I said to him that I wish my wife and I had another 52 years together, however that is not realistic. I am sure if it would happen we would get our names in Ripley’s Believe or Not.

The year 2011 has been a record year that we will remember for all the rainfall. It seemed like it rained a few days every week.

We really wondered if it would ever stop.

My wife and I enjoyed representing Farm and Dairy at Family Fun Day in Sugar Creek, Ohio, and the Canfield Fair, and from May through October I was at the Hartville Marketplace. Also we spent time at Mount Hope livestock auction sale Wednesdays.

At all of these places we met many of the wonderful people who read our article and who subscribe to Farm and Dairy. You are all great people.

One of the big highlights of 2011 was the birth of our first great grandchild. She was born to our granddaughter, Lyndsay, and her husband Ben. They are proud, happy and thankful parents. Noelle has been a real blessing to all the family. Children are a real blessing to our families.

God has been so good. In the good time and in the not-so-good times God kept His hand upon us in 2011. In 2012 He will continue to watch over each of us. He will not fail us.

“But the Land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: A land which the Lord thy God careth for: the eyes of the Lord are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year” Deut. 11:11-12.
