CONNECT, CULTIVATE, COMMUNICATE AND COLLABORATE AT LOCAL WOMEN IN FOOD, AGRICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENT NETWORKING FORUM

Ohio State University Extension of Stark County and Women Farm will offer a networking forum on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Canton Woman’s Club. The forum is open to all local women and young women (high school age) who are interested or involved in food, agriculture, and/or environment.
Program participants will connect with new peers in networking activities; cultivate relationships with keynote speaker Cindy Petitti of Anthony Petitti’s Organic Gardening Center and Farm Market as she shares her journey as a woman in agriculture and small business; communicate useful tools & resources during “Topic/Resource Grazing” sessions and collaborate to create a local network facilitated by Sharon Sachs, PhD, of Women Farm, a leader in statewide networking among women farmers.
Cost to attend the program is $30 and includes participation in the forum, handouts, a continental breakfast, lunch, and snack.
