NOFA-NY welcomes you to join us at Sunny Cove Farm for a two-part field day to learn about marketing your farm products. The morning program will address managing a grass-based dairy, and include a tour of pastures and discussion on maintaining a balanced diet to promote animal health and quality milk production. Lauren Tonti from NOFA-NY Certified Organic LLC will provide information on transitioning to organic certification and grass milk certification. Fay Benson with the NY Crop Insurance Education Team Crop will provide crop insurance information on supporting risk management. In the afternoon, Jerry Snyder will discuss meeting market demands with the products offered by the family farm, as well as share how his farm has expanded its offerings to accommodate generational transfer.

Registration cost is $15/person or $25/farm. This event is sponsored by the New York Organic Action Plan, Maple Hill Creamery and funding from the NYSDAM RME grant.
