“Honeymoon with My Brother” has been chosen for Salem Public Library’s book discussion group set to meet on September 27, 2016 from 7-8pm in the library’s Quaker Meeting Room located at 821 E. State St., Salem, OH.

This book is the true story of Franz Wisner a man who thought he had it all – a high profile career and the fiancé of his dreams when suddenly his fiancé called off their wedding. His supportive family and friends decided that Franz should go on the pre-paid Costa Rican honeymoon anyway, so he taps his brother Kurt to be his travelling companion on what would have been the honeymoon. Franz and Kurt began to examine their lives with newfound perspectives and decided to quit their jobs, sell their homes, and throw their cellphones in the trash. Thus began a two year journey to fifty-three countries including Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa. Along the way the brothers send humorous postcard accounts of their travels to their beloved grandmother. To this day Franz and Kurt are still traveling and have become best friends.

Each month this book discussion group is open to the public and free of cost to attend. No registration is required. Books for discussion are available to borrow in the library’s Adult Services Department.
