Women Grow Ohio will host their first farm fair on July 24 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bee Good Gardens, an urban homestead in Columbus, OH. The purpose of the fair is to connect and unite Ohio women who are involved in all forms of agriculture including livestock farmers, growers, homesteaders and urban backyard garden producers. The afternoon includes a tour by Amanda Preston of the homestead, plus short workshops on bee keeping, growing herbs, and Teresa Gottier of Green Goddess Garden will teach how to use a pressure cooker to create fast food. A networking potluck will be held during the last hour of the fair and everyone is invited, even if they can’t attend the tour. Registration is required by visiting womengrowohio.com or calling (740) 674-4300.

The other fairs will be held at Aggie’s Rest farm in Grafton, Ohio on August 7 and Green Edge Organic Gardens in Amesville, OH on August 21. Both sites will offer tours and exhibits. Other women farm producers will display their work on-site. Gather with women farmers in the Buckeye State to participate in Farm Tours, Informational Sessions, Networking, and Fun! Everyone is welcome.
