Ag in the Class visits Wayne County, Ohio

WOOSTER, Ohio —A group of farmers and ag leaders presented the educational program “Ag in the Class” May 9 at Wooster Township Elementary School.

They included dairy farmers Rhett Acker and Carolyn Baer, swine farmers Dean and Matt Shoup, Erin Mohler of Certified Angus Beef, members of the Triway FFA, and Lisa Arnold (top left), curriculum coordinator for Triway Local Schools.

Ag in the Classroom is a national program coordinated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered in Ohio through the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, as well as its county partners.

The National Ag in the Classroom program provides teachers with resources to help them educate students about agriculture and where their food comes from.
