– When the last gavel dropped at the first All-Dairy Antiques Auction Sept. 22 in Harrisburg, Pa., 30 unique and rare collectible dairy items had been sold for an impressive $6,300.

The auction was part of the 12th Annual All-Dairy Antiques and Collectibles Show at the All-American Dairy Show, held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.

Much like the theme for the show, the auction included many items featuring the Guernsey breed, but many different dairy items were sold.

A 14-karat gold Guernsey jug ring was the high seller of the night, bringing in $1,400.

Other high-selling items included a Dazey glass ice cream churn, Brokhoff’s Ice Cream advertising flavor sign and an Adrossan Farms milk bottle.

A White Mountain one-quart ice cream freezer, which still featured its original green paint, was made in the U.S.A. and patented June 2, 1823, sold for $250.

Harry Bachman, Annville, Lebanon Co., served as the auctioneer.

Baker Bonnigson Realty and Auctioneers of Clyde, Ohio, held the Grosjean auction Sept. 19 in Curtice, Ohio.

Highlights included a 1996 Case IH Maxxum 5240 for $42,000; a 1995 American Eagle motor home for $40,000; a 1989 Case IH 7110 for $40,000; a 2009 Harley Davidson trike for $25,000; a 1933 Ford Victoria for $20,000; a Case IH 3800 20-foot disk for $11,500; a 1981 IH 1420 combine for $9,000 and a Case IH 1020 15-foot grain head for $6,100.

The 97 +/- acres of prime, productive, tillable land with a wooded building site and road access sold for $356,000.

Cummings and Evans also held a real estate auction Sept. 30 in Findlay, Ohio, with 40 registered bidders.
