PENINSULA, Ohio — The Countryside Conservancy is hosting the Exploring the Small Farm Dream self assessment short-course at Boston Store Visitor Center in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
This four-session course begins March 5 and will take participants through the process of setting personal and farming goals, assessing available resources, determining if farming as a business is right for them and developing an action plan to guide next steps.
This is not a farm business planning course, but a precursor to farm business planning.
Teachers
Course instructors include Katie Myers-Griffith, Farmland Program Manager at Countryside Conservancy and small scale farmer in Wayne County; Tim Knorr, long time CSA farm manager in Summit County; and Allison Preiss, professional marketing coordinator and owner of Apolloson Acres, a fruit orchard in Medina County.
Additional farmer guests include: Alan Halko (Spring Hill Farm) and Pamela Neitenbach (Neitenbach Farm).
