Bring out the big red shoes for McDonald’s show

DES PLAINES, Ill. – The McDonald’s Collectors Convention will be May 2-4 with an informal social convention beginning April 30 near Toledo.

The informal event is through May 3 and includes buying, selling and trading.

A bus tour May 2 will include a look at Erie Street Market and Warehouse District shops in Toledo.

Live and silent auctions will be May 3 and a portion of proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House charities. There will also be a banquet.

The show and sale May 4 are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and admission is $4. The show is open to the public, but other activities are for convention members only. The sale includes fast food toys and other advertising memorabilia.

Fast food memorabilia appraisals are a new addition to the show.

The convention is at Holiday Inn French Quarters, state Route 20, Perrysburg, Ohio.
