Broseys shine at Junior Angus Preview

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Angus juniors led 105 entries at the 2004 Ohio Junior Angus Preview Show June 25 in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Alan Miller, LeRoy, Ill., evaluated the 53 owned females, 26 bred-and-owned females, 12 steers, seven bred-and-owned bulls, and seven cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.

Bulls. Lincoln Deitrick, Zanesville, Ohio, led the grand champion bred-and-owned bull, L&L Northern Event L673. He is a March 2003 son of Northern Improvement 4480 GF.

Justin Brosey, Hamilton, Ohio, led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. BCC Crucial Point 406 is a February 2004 son of C A Future Direction 5321.

Female honors. Grand champion bred-and owned female was claimed by Lindsey Grimes, Hillsboro, Ohio.

Maplecrest Forever Lady S301 is a March 2003 daughter of Twin Valley Precision E161 and first won junior champion.

Jared Brosey, Hamilton, Ohio, claimed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female, BCC Royal Lucy 335. She is a July 2003 daughter of S A F 598 Bando 5175 and first won intermediate champion.

Grand champion owned female was claimed by Justin Brosey, Hamilton, Ohio. The winning female,S C C Queen Beyonce 3053, is a May 2003 daughter of P V F New Horizon 001 and first won intermediate champion.

Eric King, Tiffin, Ohio, led the reserve grand champion owned female. Sunset Valley Cathy 3307 is a March 2003 daughter of Bon View New Design 1407 and first won junior champion.

Cow-calf. Justin Brosey also claimed grand champion cow-calf pair. Fisher Elegant Elaine and her February 2004 bull calf are the winning pair.

The cow is a February 2001 daughter of Leachman Explorer, and her calf was sired by C A Future Direction 5321.

Jordon Mullett, Coshocton, Ohio, claimed reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Wayview PrimroseL 1329 and her March 2004 bull calf are the winning pair.

The cow is a February 2002 daughter of VDAR Traveler 1398, and her calf was sired by Rito 1I2 of 2536 Rito 6I6.

Steers. In the steer show, grand champion was claimed by Eric Gahler, Graytown, Ohio. BAF Gator 5377 is an April 2003 son of Jacs Emulation 6583.

Eric King, Tiffin, Ohio, exhibited the reserve grand champion steer, Kingsway King 123. He is a June 2003 son of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C.
