Case lawn mower brings $1,500

ALLIANCE, Ohio – A Case 446 hydraulic drive lawn tractor with tiller and snow blade sold for $1,500 at an auction conducted by Dave Gill.

The Nov. 17 auction of the estate of Helen Best had 200 registered bidders.

Several pieces of furniture were among the high-selling items, including a lift top chest with drawers, $1,000; Victorian marble-top table, $400; corner hutch, $110; electric lamp with Fenton shade, $100; older oak rocker, $85; and Imperial Sango china set, $80. A signed Fenton plate with five matching pieces sold for $110.

A Virginia House dark pine lighted hutch’s high bid was $200, and a matching dry sink brought $70.

Tools and farm equipment were also among the high-sellers. A Craftsman table saw brought $75; Stihl chain saw with case, $80; older New Holland Smoker hay elevator, $135; and a truck camper brought $220.
