Classic cars gather for Crawford’s Cruise-In August 25 in Cleveland

CLEVELAND – Round up the family and friends for the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum’s Cruise-In Aug. 25 from 1-6 p.m.

The cruise-in will be held at the Ford Casting Plant near Hopkins International Airport with lots of cars and entertainment. More than 150 vintage cars of all makes, models, years, and styles from Stutz Bearcats to Studebakers, from Ferraris to Fords are expected to be on display.

Vintage car owners are invited to bring their classic car.

Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite cars with trophies to be presented to the first, second, and third place finishers in the categories: People’s Choice, Driver’s Choice and Ladies’ Choice.

Winners of the People’s Choice and Driver’s Choice will have the opportunity to display their cars at the museum this winter.

A special Kids’ Choice award will also be presented.

Admission is free for visitors, but there is a $12 registration fee for each vehicle on display. Cost to preregister is $10 and is encouraged but not required.

The first 150 cars to register will receive Cruise-In 2002 Dash Plaques.

The Ford Casting Plant is located at 5600 Henry Ford Boulevard in Brookpark, Ohio. A rain date of Sept. 15 has been scheduled.

The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum of the Western Reserve Historical Society is located at 10825 East Boulevard in Cleveland’s University Circle area.

Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

Admission is $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors and $5.00 for students.
