Cold weather means ice skating at Mill Creek Park

CANFIELD, Ohio – Registration for skating lessons at Mill Creek MetroParks’ outdoor ice rink will be Dec. 19-20 from 3-7 p.m. at the ice rink. Ages 4 to adult may participate.


The half-hour lessons take place between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturdays starting Jan. 6.


Beginner lessons run for three weeks and cost is $3 for Mahoning County residents ($6 for nonresidents).


Intermediate lessons run for six weeks and cost $20 for residents ($25 for nonresidents).


Registration must be handled in person, and full payment is due at registration. Rental skates are available for children and adults.


The ice rink is located in the Wick Recreation Area. For further information, call the Recreation Department at 330-740-7126.
