LYNBROOK, N.Y. – The 13th annual International Ladies’ Compact Collectors Convention will be held at the Boardwalk Casino, 3750 Las Vegas Blvd. South Las Vegas, Nevada, June 13-15.
The increased worldwide popularity and interest in compact collecting should make this year’s convention bigger and better than ever.
Members and guests will be coming in from all parts of the country to display their rare, gadgetry and unusual compacts.
Compact auction. Following the Friday evening reception and sit-down dinner buffet, there will be a traditional compact auction.
This auction is for the benefit of The Leukemia Research Foundation which raised almost $3,000 last year.
On Saturday, there will be an in-house Sell and Swap Meet of Ladies’ Compacts and Related Vanity Items. Art Deco, enameled, figural, gadgetry and combination compacts will be featured in addition to vanity/bags, vanity/purses, mesh and beaded purses, hatpins, solid perfume compacts, perfume bottles, fans and costume jewelry.
From 12:30-2:30 p.m., the Sell and Swap Meet portion of the program will be open to the public.
