N.Y. grass-fed beef conference planned Jan. 31

ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell Small Farms Program & NY SARE will co-sponsor the Winter Green-up Grass-fed Beef Conference from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at The Century House, Latham, N.Y.

Experts

This conference will bring in three nationally known experts in the area of grass-fed beef production who will be speaking on topics such as genetic selection, least cost management systems, reproductive efficiency, marketing, how to manage a forage only production model year round and the meat science of grass-fed beef.

The speakers will be Kit Pharo, Allen Williams, Bill Hodge and Kathleen Harris.

The cost of the conference is $60 per person.
