CANTON, Ohio — Donald G. Lumley, 79, passed away Aug. 16, 2013, at Aultman Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He retired from Norfolk and Southern Railway and worked on the home farm. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Don is survived by his wife, Barbara (Wagner) Lumley; children, Steven Lumley, of North Canton, Ohio, and Mark Lumley, of Carrollton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, William Lumley, of Marietta, David Lumley, of Carrollton, Anna Mason, of Carrollton, Emma Eisley, of Las Vegas and Bertha Benware, of Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sarah (Henry) Lumley; brother, Howard Lumley; and daughter, Cindy Diane Fisher.
Services are at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home with calling hours from 3 to 9 p.m. Aug. 20 and one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Perrysville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department in his honor.
