DOT regulations meeting slated for May 3 in Mercer

MERCER, Pa. — A motor carrier enforcement officer from the Pennsylvania State Police will hold an informational session on the current trucking/trailer laws and regulations May 3 at the Mercer County Cooperative Extension office, 463 N. Perry Highway in Mercer.

Topics will include age required to drive certain vehicles; commercial driver’s licenses; medical cards; trailers/weights; farm plates/stickers; types of materials/equipment being hauled; and safety equipment.

Refreshments will be available at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Mercer County Ag Development Council, a committee that focuses on agricultural development and rural conservation in Mercer County.
