GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Westmoreland County Historical Society will sponsor an Egg Illumination Workshop at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center March 2 from 9:30 a.m-4 p.m.
Sister Rita Keshock of the Sisters of St. Basil the Great will instruct participants on the art of egg illumination. This program is $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers; the fee includes lunch and materials.
This year’s workshop will focus on the etching of an icon on the eggs. Rita will give a history of egg etching, and the participants will then receive hands-on experience etching their own eggs.
