MEDINA, Ohio — Estes Auctions held an auction of deco chrome radios Nov. 16. Bidders came from 19 states and Canada and China.
High sellers included a McMurdo Silver Masterpiece V, which sold for $8,000; a model VI at $8,000; a Masterpiece IV at $7,000; and a Masterpiece V at $7,500.
A Scott Philharmonic sold for $3,650 and a Scott All Wave 23 in Western cabinet went for $3,600.
A Lincoln console went for a bid of $3,000, a Scott Phantom sold at $3,000, another Scott Phantom went for $3,750 and a Scott All Wave 23 sold for $3,000.
Other items included a McMurdo Silver Masterpiece II that sold for $2,750, a Scott All Wave 23 in a napier cabinet that went for $2,100 and four Western Electric 205 tubes sold for $3,100.
