The high temperature for the month was 68 degrees recorded Feb. 25. The low temperature was 7 degrees recorded Feb. 3.

There were 10 days of rain, and the largest rainfall was .44 inches. Farmers will need above average rainfall to help replenish the water table before vegetation starts to grow, Copeland said.

The 108-year averages for February are: 28.4 degrees, 2.27 inches of rain, 8 inches of snowfall and 35 percent sunshine.

Averages for February 2000 are: 32.5 degrees, 1.05 inches of rain, 2 inches of snowfall and 40 percent sunshine.
