NEWARK, Ohio – Mary Felumlee of Newark received the Honorary American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention held recently in Louisville, Ky.
The award was presented to four people from Ohio and is given to those who advance agricultural education and the FFA.
Felumlee’s involvement began when her son enrolled in the high school agriculture class and the FFA. She is a charter life member of the Licking Valley FFA alumni where she has served as secretary for 20 years and treasurer for 19. Felumlee received the Licking Valley Honorary Chapter Degree in 1997 and the State Honorary Degree in 2000. She was recognized as the Outstanding FFA alumni member in Ohio in 1999.
