BERLIN CENTER, Ohio — The August meeting of Western Reserve Rangers was led by Delorean Jones, Gabriella Marinescu and Shannon Marshburn.

Congratulations were extended to Shannon Marshburn who won a First Place Clock Trophy in the State 4-H Style Revue for Shopping Savvy. Karl Reph and Jena Styka brought back to Mahoning County Outstanding of the Day Awards (awards given to the top 20% in each project area) for their Power Point Presentations. Ian Hames also received an Outstanding of the Award for Wood Working as did Remi Mikan for her original 4-H T-shirt design.

The Don Duda Family will oversee the hog decorations, Janet and Amanda Majirsky will be doing the lambs and broilers, and the Steve Reph Family will be putting decorations up for pullets and turkeys.

Gabriella Majirsky gave a report about she and Levi Smith working at the Ohio State Fair. Gabriella and Levi are 4-H State Ambassadors and they assisted a variety of judges with judging events and announced the award winners during presentation ceremonies.

In August Erin and Jena Styka represented Mahoning County at State Leadership Camp at Camp Ohio. The Rangers 4-H Club invites everyone to come to the Canfield Junior Fair to see their livestock displays and the club’s 4-H educational booth in the youth building.
