ASHTABULA, Ohio — Ashtabula County 4-H volunteers and 4-H members attended Steer and Dairy Steer Tagging Dec. 6 at the fairgrounds.
Many Market Animal Club advisors helped make this event possible for the youth and their animals.
In attendance were weigh masters, taggers, picture takers and volunteers passing out forms to make the morning run smoothly.
A club volunteer provided refreshments.
This year, the numbers were up, tagging in 64 beef steers and 15 dairy steers. These numbers will make a nice show and sale for the 2009 Ashtabula County Fair Aug. 11-16.
CHARDON, Ohio — At the first meeting of Geauga Beef and Swine, the club picked officers.
Those elected include president, Catlin Jefferson; vice president, Clinton Rose; secretary, Chelsey Rumburg; treasurer, Lizzy Kinkoph; newspaper reporter, Baylee Diedrich; health and safety, Sydney Diedrich; community service, Clinton Rose and host, Sarah Anderson.
NORTH JACKSON, Ohio — The Jackson-Milton Livestock Club held its annual Christmas party at Wrangler’s Restaurant in North Jackson.
The club welcomed several new members and had a gift exchange.

Club members recently had a fundraiser to support local agriculture in the form of a cheese basket sale.
Club advisor Joan Schuller, who work with the club for 11 years, has decided to retire.
MOUNDSVILLE, Ohio —The Ridge Runners 4-H Club met at the Bowman Ridge Community Building for its Christmas party Dec. 9.
A monthly meeting was held during the party.
The next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 13.
Members also assembled fruit baskets for elderly neighbors. The fruit was purchased from Cameron FFA members.
The baskets will be delivered by club members before Christmas.
LISBON, Ohio — Outlaws with Attitude 4-H Club held its Christmas party Dec. 7 at the Community Action Building, Lisbon.
Gifts were exchanged between members and refreshments were served. Club members decorated horse shoes and signed thank you and get well cards.
Club officers were elected.
Hillari Combs was elected president; Shelby Kelley, vice president; Briann Adkins, secretary; Monica Allison, treasurer; Mikenzie Mosti, health officer; Abby Smalley, safety officer; Tyler Sprouse, news officer and J.J. Allison and Madison Bach, recreation officers.
Taylor Stevens is a new member and new Cloverbuds include Maddie Adkins, Brock Smalley and Michael Mosti.

BERLIN CENTER, Ohio — Western Reserve Rangers 4-H Club celebrated with a Christmas party when the members met recently in Ellsworth. Pizza and treats of all kinds were enjoyed by all.
4-H families also donated baby supplies to the Pregnancy Help Center in Boardman.
Vice President Blake Algarin reminded the teen members to mark their calendars for the Ohio 4-H Teen Conference in Columbus Feb. 21.

Club alumni Alyssa Guthrie recently completed her master’s degree at Notre Dame and is working for the Ohio Supreme Court in Columbus.
Guthrie said her 4-H leadership training and the 4-H State Ambassador Program has contributed to her development and success.
The Mahoning County Junior Leaders 4-H Club kick-off meeting will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 at the OSU Extension Center in Canfield. All youth 13 or older are welcome to join. To learn more call Katie at 330-533-5538.
The Rangers will have their reorganization meeting for the new 4-H year Jan. 8.
The club is planning another exciting year and both current and new members interested in sewing and fashion, animals and any of the other 200 projects 4-H has to offer are welcome to join.
