COLUMBIANA — Members of the Rough Riders 4-H club assembled a display Oct. 1 at Witmer’s Inc. on state Route 14 in Columbiana to promote 4-H week. The display will remain in place through Oct. 10.

WOOSTER, Ohio — The 4-H Farm Friends float won first place at the Wayne County Fair. This year the Farm Friends did many activities including participating in the Wayne County Fair. The group made a float for the fair parade and won first prize, $100 for the club.

The theme for this year was “There’s magic in the air at the Wayne County Fair.” The group decorated the float anddressed up as magicians and had booths with signs for “Card Tricks,” “Rabbit out of Hat” and “Crystal Ball.”

The Farm Friends volunteered at the 4-H dairy booth at the Wayne County Fair. The money from the dairy both goes to 4-H scholarships. Working in the dairy booth is considered fun and members get a free ice cream when the shift is completed.
