A roundup of 4-H news for the week of Sept. 24, 2009

ORWELL, Ohio — The Mustang Wranglers 4-H horse club had its awards meeting Sept. 12 at the Orwell Community Park.

The 4-H year came to an end after the fair and members came together to celebrater. They received a 4-H banner with their name and accomplishment pins.

The members who participated at the county level and went on to compete at the state level received horse pins that labeled the competition from Ohio State University.

The next regular club meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 10 at Saddles Etc. in Orwell.

National 4-H week is Oct. 4-10. Ashtabula County 4-H will hold a carnival from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Expo/4-H Building on the fairgrounds.

Each 4-H project committee will have tables set up with information on the many projects 4-H has to offer. There will be food and games.

This event is free and open to existing 4-H members and those looking to become members.
