OBERLIN, Ohio — The Firelands FFA dairy judging team won the district contest and earned a berth in the state contest.

Jeb Larson placed third individually in the district, and David Tipple, fourth. Noah Larson and Jared Keets also competed.

On April 6, several students traveled to Columbus for the state equine management, general livestock, wildlife management and poultry judging career development events.

The Equine Management Team placed ninth and qualified for the state finals May 1. Team members include Chrissy Balint, Tom Battig, Emily Pohorence, and Katie Cline.
