MILLERSBURG, Ohio — The West Holmes FFA is holding its second annual strawberry sale through Feb. 28. The strawberries are sold by the quart, half flat and full flat and will be delivered the week of March 12. Contact the West Holmes FFA at 330-674-6085 and ask for the AG department.

The West Holmes FFA held 8th grade recruitment Jan. 26-27. The chapter introduced the idea of FFA to the eighth graders, who are preparing to schedule their freshman year of classes.

The West Holmes FFA sent members Jan. 25 to compete at the state nursery landscaping contest. The team placed 22nd out of 35 teams. Members included Mitch Ling, Corbin Wright, Madee Brewer, Grayson Miller, Logan Brannon and Maggie Raber.

ALLIANCE, Ohio — Do you know which president was a former FFA Member? The FFA Greenhand Quiz team does! It was Jimmy Carter.

These students took an online test competing against first year FFA members from all across the state. The team placed 72nd of the over 300 schools in the state of Ohio.

Top team members were Staci Faverty, Kayla Colapeitro, Christian Oyster and Monica Kurtz. Other team members were Whitley Murphy, Abbi Whiteman, Gavin Foster, Paige Mull, Kaitlyn Ward and Jacob Conrad.

WATERFORD, Ohio — The Waterford FFA freshman members recently competed in the State Greenhand quiz contest. The team placed third in District 10, with Megan Whalin placing first in the District out of 101 participants and 15th overall in the state out of 1,455 participants.
