ANDOVER, Pa. — Pymatuning Valley FFA members sang Christmas carols at the Andover Apartment Complex Dec. 19. Members passed out apples and oranges to residents. The chapter members had hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies after.

WEST SALEM, Ohio — Northwestern’s FFA chapter volunteered to ring bells for the Salvation Army Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Students signed up weeks before with a partner or two in one hour shifts.

MILLERSBURG, Ohio — The West Holmes FFA chapter wrapped up its annual fruit sale in December. The chapter sold 964 cases of fruit and 1,924 tins of nuts, selling a total of more than $56,000. The top ten salesmen were: Justin Lorentz, 174.50 cases; William Hughes, 144.25 cases; Samantha Krejci, 92.25 cases; Mandy Taylor, 85.50 cases; Megan Miller, 79.25 cases; Tanner Goines, 48.00 cases; Matt and Hannah Schlegel, 46.00 cases; Beth Klein, 42.00 cases; Grayson and Paige Miller, 39.50 cases; and Liz Overholt, 37.25 cases. Extra fruit was donated to the Lighthouse-Love Center.

The West Holmes FFA chapter sold Christmas trees this year for the first time. Over three weekends the chapter sold a total of 30 trees. The fundraiser was sponsored by Rodhe’s IGA and Sycamore Hollow Tree Farm.

MINERVA, Ohio — The Minerva FFA chapter held a leadership night Nov. 20.

There was a total of 110 students and advisors from Minerva and other high school chapters including: West Branch High School, Southern Local High School, Columbiana County Career Technical Center, Southeast High School, United High School and R. G. Drage Career Technical Center. The leadership night also had state officers Shelby Faulkner, Sara Bookman, Leanna Bachman and Erin Wollett in attendance.
