BEVERLY, Ohio — The Fort Frye FFA is in the first stages of fundraising for its trip to the 2012 National Soil Surveying Competition, after placing second in the state of Ohio in October.

The chapter held its first square dance Jan. 7 as a fundraiser and will host another March 17 at the Lowell Volunteer Fire Department.

If anyone wants to support the Fort Frye FFA soils team with a donation, call 740-984-2376, ext. 102.

BARLOW, Ohio — The Warren FFA will hold its 52nd annual Parent/Member Banquet March 10 at Warren High School, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent, Ohio.

This year, the event is open to the public.

Following the meal, awards and scholarships are given to outstanding FFA members.

To make a reservation, contact Allen Clark at 740-678-2393, ext. 1202 by Feb. 17. Seating is limited.
