INDIANAPOLIS — Jeff Stimmell of the Hillsdale FFA Chapter in Ohio was one of 44 state winners participating in the 2010 National FFA extemporaneous public speaking career development event.

Members of the Hillsdale FFA Chapter in Ohio were one of 28 teams participating in the 2010 National FFA food science and technology career development event.

Team members were Lindsey Bowen (adviser), Kristen Deter, Kelsey King, Ashley Pickering and Hannah Shock

Both competitions were held Oct. 20-23, during the 83rd National FFA Convention.

WEST BRANCH, Ohio — The West Branch FFA Chapter met Nov. 3. Brian Kolm sat in as president for Austen Shoemaker.

Members discussed fruit sales, harvesting the crops planted by FFA students, and the new tool procedures.

The next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 3.
