BURTON, Ohio —The Geauga Caprine Kids 4-H club invites any young person to come join us for our 2014 club year.
Geauga Caprine Kids is currently the longest running Honors Club in Geauga County. The club does many projects including goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, and rabbits. The group has many miscellaneous projects including photography, scrapbooking, cooking, and sewing. The group meets the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Huntsburg Township Hall.
This year the group is making the most of are business meetings by utilizing committees during part of the meeting time, focusing on community service and education activities.

GREENFORD, Ohio — The Greenford Busy Bees 4-H Club will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Greenford Bobcat Space Center. The club is open to all youth ages 5 (kindergarten) to 18 years old. ELLSWORTH, Ohio — The Western Reserve Rangers 4-H Club voted and the following people were elected: Tiffany Voland, president; Ian Hames and Levi Smith, vice presidents; Emily Smith and Erin Styka, secretaries; Karl Reph and Ian Hames, treasurers, Camille Kirk and Olivia Haid, recreation leaders; and Olivia Haid, Camille Kirk, Collin Meehan, Olivia Reph, William Reph were elected as health and safety officers.
Emily Smith reported that members of 2014 the Mahoning County 4-H Fashion Board would soon receive a letter of congratulations and notified of the first meeting in March.
Members of the Mahoning County Junior Fair Board that were elected and are Ranger memberswere recognized. They are Andy Prosser, Katie Prosser, Emily Smith Levi Smith, Erin Styka and Jena Styka.
Teens and Advisors of the club are attending the 2014 Ohio 4-H Teen and Volunteer Conference in Columbus March 8. Levi Smith will also be addressing the teens at their luncheon about the benefits of being an Ohio 4-H State Ambassador. Ranger 4-H Club Alumni Gabrielle Marinescu, a student at Ohio State University, will also be assisting with the conference in conjunction with her job at the Ohio State University Extension State Office.
Members with Market Livestock Projects were reminded about the upcoming mandatory quality assurance workshops at South Range Schools March 1. The club members voted to donate funds to the Berlin and Ellsworth Community Easter Egg Hunt which will happen in April.
The club recognized and congratulated Robert Voland who will be his class valedictorian for Jackson Milton High School.
Following the meeting Advisors Laura Jones, Robin Reph and Amelia Shrader registered the members and their projects.
Western Reserve Rangers 4-H Club will meet again at 7 p.m. March 13.

DAMASCUS, Ohio — Circle 62 meeting was held Feb. 5 at the Pierce House in Damascus, Ohio. The group completed Valentine Cards for the nursing home residents at Auburn in Damascus, Ohio.
The group was in agreement to sponsor a trophy for the 2014 Columbiana County Fair.
Project talks were given by: Amelia Bartholow on the state fair, Ava Bartholow on market goats, butchering and ethnic uses. Macie Schrecengost gave a project talk on market hogs.
Lance Schrecengost gave aproject talk on the breeds of market hogs. Alexis Gregory gave a project talk on Dairy Beef Feeders.
Josh Gregory gave a project talk on Boar goats. Brian Smearsoll gave a talk on the state fair experience.
The next meeting for Circle 62 will be 10 a.m. March 8 at the Pierce House in Damascus.
