OBERLIN, Ohio — The Firelands FFA, Firelands Student Council and the principal’s fund sponsored nationally-known speaker and best seller Sam Glenn Feb. 4.

Firelands students in grades 9-12 attended the assembly. Glenn did a chalk art drawing of a lighthouse, then spent time talking to the students.

WEST SALEM, Ohio — On Jan. 21 the Northwestern FFA Chapter, along with five Ohio FFA officers, hosted a leadership night at Northwestern High School.

The five state officers who attended were Geoffrey Norris, Andrew Teet, Mary Beth Seikmen, Elizabeth Overholt, and Allison Mangun.

FFA members from the Triway, Smithville, Norwayne, Buckeye, Hardin Northern and Northwestern FFA chapters also attended.

Members also attended sessions run by the state officers, where they were given the opportunity to work with FFA members from other schools.
